  MOTORISTS being warned of delays on the M5 following an accident  on the  northbound carriageway involving two vehicles between junction 20 Clevedon and 19 Portishead.

  A new campaign group has been launched in Backwell to promote active travel in the village.  The Group, called Backwell Sustainable Travel Action Group, wants to see the development of a network of shared-use paths linking the different areas of the village, as an alternative to local car use.  The Group is also pressing for the safe cycling route between Backwell and Nailsea, originally proposed in the 2007 North Somerset...

  Nailsea-based North Somerset Coaches has announced details of important changes to bus services from Monday, November 5. From this date a new two-hourly bus, Route 55, will be introduced linking Nailsea with Broadmead and Cabot Circus at Bristol, from Silver Street, Kingshill, Hannah More Road, Hazelbury Road and Link Road at Nailsea. • Crash in Tickenham causes early morning road closure

  A BUSY commuter route in Tickenham was closed for two and a half hours today  after an early morning accident. The accident, involving a Peugeot and an Audi, happened at Clevedon Road at 7.20am. A woman was trapped in one of the vehicles and had to be removed by fire crews. She suffered leg injuries and was taken by ambulance to hospital. The road - a busy route with commuters into Bristol and the M5  - was closed to allow...
