We have our very own MIGHTY THOR!

Our very own Matt "Thor" Norton, of Nailsea school, has taken the title of god among mortals at the Avon Schools Championship, decimating the competition and ending the discussion with a monstrous throw of his hammer (49.48m).

If that weren't enough he then took on the South West Schools but this time equipped with his Megingjord, hurling his hammer 54.18m, to finish second. This phenomenal achievement has lifted him to eight in the UK Under-17 rankings. Congratulations Matt! I look forward to a bright future.

 Matt's efforts and achievements have not gone unnoticed, he has just been nominated for the title of June Easy Runner athlete of the month. Yes, there is stiff competition from several talented athletes but nothing Matt cannot handle.
