Budgens Of Nailsea

One stop shop

Also known as the Esso garage or Budgens this little gem of a garage is everyones favourite. It won lots of retail awards after its revamp but I cant understand why no-one uses the supermarket-style checkouts? Most men I know prefer to do all their shopping here while filling up with petrol. I certainly like the layout much better than the Tesco garage although reversing out of the parking bays can be a bit hairy when it is busy. Certainly it has the best car wash locally. Nailsea people still talk about the vision of my grandson (then aged about three) helping his mother in the jet wash dressed from head-to-toe in his fireman outfit. Oh happy days.
