As an Ex-Pat (Born and raised in Backwell - Living in Germany since 1977), I pop back to Nailsea once or twice a year to relax and meet friends. Whenever I return to Nailsea and call in at the Wine Bar, I'm always greeted by my first name and no matter how long it has been since I was last there, I feel immediatlely at home. I can't say enough about how friendly the staff is and how much I appreciate this Oasis of congeniality where regardless as to wherever you feel like a pint of beer or cider or just wish to have a cup of coffee and do the crossword, you're alway made to feel welcome.
This family run pub conveniently located in the town centre’s Courtyard, is renowned for its excellent coffee as well as it’s terrific menu and standard public beverages. Managed by the Buchaly family, this local spot is the perfect location for breakfast, meals, or simply having a few drinks.

I agree with Carol's review, the Courtyard is a second home to me too. I've always enjoyed coming here for a drink after a stressful day at work. I've been once on the weekend and it's quite a rocking place. My friends have been for coffee and swear by it so I think I'll be trying that experience next!
When I was editor of the Clevedon Mercury I used to meet my husband nearly every night after work for a quick drink on route home. It became our wind-down zone after a stressful day. Now with a similar group of regulars we still go for first orders at least a couple of times a week but now I am 'semi-retired' I have time for an occasion coffee morning or lunch. I love the wine bar, it is my second home.
