Roads closed around Nailsea
By Carol_Deacon | Saturday, February 20, 2010, 16:56
THE road to Wraxall is closed.
-
The B3133 is closed to through traffic including the buses
-
Hooray, on Saturday the road was open again and Nailsea people used it as a shortcut to the M5
-
But although it is open the resurfacing seems to have missed some of the many potholes?
The road from Clevedon to Portishead is closed.
The road at Tickenham has one-way traffic with traffic lights.
The Clevedon Road leading into Nailsea has one-way traffic with traffic lights.
All I can say is thank goodness it is half-term and the commuter traffic is light.
Many of the potholes are now filled but not the ones at the end of Queens Road or Trendlewood.
Please post your experiences here, thanks.

My bill for new alloy wheel was £250 + extra £150+ to re-align. I am told if it is a road you use regularly then North Somerset Council highways department take the line you should have known better and if you preceed with a claim you have to involve insurance companies which threatens any no-claims bonus you have...car can stay on drive, I'll use the bus!

ReportI've two colleagues using this road, both of whom have not avoided the potholes, and as a result the tracking has gone out of alignment causing uneven wear on the tries.
One has a £200 bill, and the other £300 for tracking adjustment and new tires.

ReportRoad is open again but still full of potholes. Traffic lights still in Tickenham and Nailsea town centre due to water/gas leaks. It the Clevedon to Portishead road open?

ReportThe B3133 was open again last night (Friday 19th), but incredibly, not all the pot holes have been filled in - even where there was no traffic. Some of the holes where the road remained open are still there too. One would have thought that whilst the traffic was light due to the road closures all the existing holes would be dealt with. But still we have to run the pot hole slalom as we travel to work.
