North Somerset Quilters

North Somerset Quilters will be holding an extra meeting on Friday 21st May due to January’s meeting being cancelled because of the bad weather.  Mandy Hall from the well known company Monkey Buttons will give a talk entitled ‘It’s the colours’ and will bring along a large selection of her patterns for people to see and buy.  On Saturday 22nd Mandy will be running a workshop where members can choose from three of her patterns, a bag, a cushion or a quilt.  Both these days will be held as usual at the WI Hall in Station Road Backwell, the Friday meeting to start at 7.30pm and the Workshop will run from 10am until 4pm.  Visitors always welcome at the cost of £4 whilst annual membership is £20.

They are also running a coach trip on Thursday 24Th June to the Victoria & Albert Museum in London to see the quilt exhibition 1700 to 2010 where there is a fantastic display of some of the earliest quilts to be made in this country.
