Mangotsfield United turned on some of their old magic to pip Hanham Minor League Under-10 Division A high-fliers Ashton Boys 5-3 and clinch only their second win of the season.

They had to do it the hard way as well after losing the first game 3-1, despite Lloyd Wintle firing them ahead with a stunning goal.

The second game was pretty much one-way traffic, however, with Mangos dominating for lengthy periods. They flew into a 3-0 interval lead with cracking finishes from Brandon Hobbs, Archie Clark and Sam Morris, before James Flowers tapped home a fourth late on when the Ashton keeper spilled the ball.

Warmley Rangers claimed their first Division A win since September 27 – a thrilling last-gasp victory against Stoke Lane in the second game of a double-header. The only goal came late won when Warren Forrest forced home a cross from George Wilshire.

Louis Lacy linked and Connor Blyth-Robbins also went close to scoring for Warmley, while Matt Emery and Jamie Box defended superbly.

Lane had won the first match 2-0 thanks to well-worked early goals from Max Butcher and Mitchell Bombroff.

Nathan Wilkes hit the bar for Rangers and Callum Birkinshaw saw a superbly-struck free-kick brilliantly saved by inspired Lane keeper Col Pierre.

In the same section, Brislington A put up a terrific fight during a 3-1 defeat by Bristol City JSC. The first game finished 2-0 to City, with Max Backwell's equaliser earning Brislington a 1-1 draw in game two.

After several poor performances, Bristol Rovers SCJ produced two impressive displays to earn a 3-2 victory against a good Nicholas Wanderers side.

They paid for missed chances in the first game as Wanderers came from behind to win 2-1, Rovers' consolation coming through an excellent George Cole strike.

Both sides battled hard in the second game but a goal just before half-time by Alex Skuse and a second from Bradley Lewis, whose long-range effort flew over the keeper and in off a post, gave Rovers a deserved victory.

Leaders Henbury Colts pipped second-placed Longwell Green 3-2 in a crucial Division C fixture.

Henbury's defence stayed strong throughout the opening game thanks to good performances from Ryan Daley and Harry Reynolds and a solid display by keeper Liam Buck.

Rhys Murphy proved the difference between the teams, scoring the only goal of the game to give Henbury a vital advantage to take into the second match.

Game two was just as tight, with both sides missing early chances. Longwell took the lead just before half-time but Lewis Hamman equalised after the break. Longwell had a penalty saved before scoring again to tie the aggregate score but Henbury had the last word when, following a succession of late corners, Brandon Lewis fired home their winner.

Winterbourne United ran out 7-3 victors over AEK Boco.

With both teams largely cancelling each other out, chances were at a premium during the first period, but Boco took the lead on the stroke of half-time, beating keeper Liam Fitzpatrick with a close-range finish.

Winterbourne started the second period much more brightly and soon equalised through Kieran Slade after good work from Ryan Sharpe and Benji Parker. More pressure was rewarded when Parker's goal-bound effort was turned home by the predatory Slade. Dominic Jewell went close to extending the advantage but, just as Winterbourne seemed to have taken control, Boco hit back to make it 2-2.

In a thrilling finish, with both teams pressing hard for a winner, Boco notched the decider when an excellent free-kick rebounded off a post to be tapped home by an incoming forward.

Boco were always going to struggle in game two after taking to the field a player shortn.

Their dogged resistance was eventually overcome when the lively Arlen Fitzgerald gave Winterbourne a half-time advantage. The second half saw Winterbourne in more ruthless mood and goals from Kieran Jackson (2), Will Harriss and Callum Fitzgerald secured a comfortable 5-0 scoreline.

Whitchurch Sports won 4-3 in a tough encounter at Bradley Stoke United.

The visitors piled on the pressure in the first half of game one and goals from Chesney Blackett and Jamie Hicks gave them a two-goal half-time lead.

But Bradley Stoke turned the tables in the second half to strike twice and clinch a 2-2 draw.

The second match was just as tight, with both sides pushing for the winner in an entertaining end-to-end duel. Jay Selway broke the deadlock with a fine strike for Whitchurch, but Bradley Stoke hauled themselves back with a second half equaliser.

The game looking destined to end as a draw until Selway netted his second goal to complete a fine team move and seal an execellent three points for Whitchurch .
