Liberal Democrat Pledge Against the Pylons

It is good to see the elected representatives following the example

set by the Liberal Democrats in opposing the National Grid proposals for giant pylons crossing North Somerset on health, environmental and economic grounds. It will be interesting to see whether the Tories will be prepared to make the same commitment and pledge that Cllr Andy Cole and I have made to fight to reverse any planning decision that the IPC (a Labour Quango) makes, if it routes pylons through North Somerset rather than under-sea or underground. Whatever happens at the general election, the people of North Somerset must be assured of continued opposition to the pylons
