Clevedon ABC meets at Five The Beach
Following the success of the Avon Business Club which meets over breakfast in Bristol, a second club has now been formed in Clevedon, to help firms in Clevedon, Nailsea and Portishead to boost business as the area starts to recover from recession.
The Clevedon Avon Business Club is a relaxed networking group for business owners and decision-makers who want to meet like-minded people, share experience and advice and refer business over breakfast at Five the Beach, every fortnight.
The next meeting takes place tomorrow, October 12, and organisers are hoping to attract more businesses to come along and find out more about joining.
Clevedon ABC is different to most other networking groups as it has been formed and will be run by its members, with any profits used to fund marketing, administration and support of charities chosen by the group.
ABC’s Phil Jones, director at Wilkinson & Partners Accountants, said: “The group is set up to work in a relaxed way, with no big commitment on members, but it is obviously beneficial to be an active member of the group.
“The ABC has been doing well in Berkeley Square in Clifton for over a year now, so we felt it was a good time to set up a new group which expands on the success of the Bristol group and offers businesses in North Somerset the opportunity to participate in a new type of networking .
“We had a very good first meeting at Five the Beach so we really want to build on that and urge businesses in the area to come along to the next meeting on October 12.
“We are giving the first ten memberships away for free and we do have some left.
“This is a really cost effective way of doing business as well as being part of group which has many years of experience collectively to make use of.”
The cost of joining is a one-off payment of £100 which goes towards the cost of running the group, plus £10 for breakfast, but there is no third party making a profit from the group.
The next meeting takes place at Five the Beach, Clevedon, on October 12, at 6.45am. If you would like to attend please email Tom Williams at twilliams@lindleys.net
