Police have had another successful week tackling cannabis factories across Avon and Somerset.
In the past two months Operation Viscount has resulted in almost 60 premises being searched, 50 arrests made and 4700 plants worth almost £4,500,000 being confiscated.
Operation Viscount is a three-month long operation targeting cannabis factories mostly in the city.
It has also led to the confiscation of £71,000 cash as well as a firearm, cocaine and cannabis bush.
Drugs Strategy Unit spokesman Paul Bunt said: "These are some fantastic results and we know this is having an impact on local drug supply.
"We have taken drugs off the streets and this is pushing drug prices up for drug addicts.
"Every day we are knocking on doors, making drug dealers nervous and closing down cannabis factories.
"We are making a sustained impact dismantling organised crime and drug dealers should be feeling very nervous and expecting to see us knocking on their door soon."
If you have information about buildings you suspect are being used as cannabis factories, or people involved in drugs supply, contact Avon and Somerset Police on 0845 456 7000.
