One of Britain's favourite comedians and broadcasters Marcus Brigstocke brings his new show full of quick-witted observational humour to The Playhouse Theatre.
Marcus Brigstocke is a firm favourite with comedy fans and his new show The Brig Society is currently touring theatres across the country.
It promises to be as sharply observant and quick witted as his much loved catalogue of work.
This year, as the title suggests, Marcus Brigstocke examines David Cameron's attempts to introduce the "Big Society".
The analysis is mostly damning, criticising everything from corrupt banking culture to the privatisation of the railways.
Listen as he restructures every aspect of life in Britain organised through the medium of jokes where audiences can win a free hospital or school, or a major High Street Bank.
"Dazzling, inspired, perfectly observed. I've yet to see anything funnier." The Daily Telegraph
Marcus Brigstocke's talent was noted early on in his career in 1996 when he won the BBC New Comedian Award at the Edinburgh Festival.
He is now regarded as a major comedy, writing and acting talent, performing stand up nationally to sell out audiences both on tour and on the well-trodden comedy circuit.
BBC Radio 4 has become somewhat of a second home to Marcus with regular appearances on I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue, The Now Show and Just A Minute; he has also written and recorded three series and four specials of his hit show Giles Wemmbley-Hogg Goes Off.
Marcus has also notched up an impressive list of TV credits including his role as team captain on Argumental (Dave), and host of The Late Edition and I've Never Seen Star Wars (BBC4). Other appearances include; Have I Got News For You (BBC1), QI (BBC2), Sorry I've Got No Head (BBC1), The Late Edition (BBC4), and the 11 O'Clock Show (Channel 4)
Come and see him for yourself where you will be falling with laughter off of your seat!
The show has an age recommendation of 14+ and parental guidance is advised.
