HAILED as "The best Fury since Fury", Michael King and his musicians celebrate the 30th anniversary of Britain's best loved rock 'n' roll legend in The Billy Fury Years.
It may have been 30 years since the untimely passing of Billy Fury, but it is reassuring to know that his name and music is far from forgotten.
Michael King takes audiences on a journey through the musical career of Billy Fury in the ultimate Billy Fury show to ever hit the stage.
This exciting two hour show delivers all his greatest hits in true Fury style offering audiences a night of pure breathtaking entertainment, plus the best Fury sound you will ever hear.
The production is further enhanced by fantastic audio and video effects, plus various costume changes depicting the ever changing image and face of the Fury phenomenon.
"Michael King's interpretation of Run To My Loving Arms, When Will You Say I Love You?, and Last Night Was Made For Love, came close to being in the immaculate category.
"King captured fully the sound, the gestures, the mannerisms, even the physical appearance of arguably Britain's greatest Rock and Roll singer," The Beat Magazine.
Billy Fury was born Ronald William Wycherley in Liverpool on April 17, 1940 and became an internationally successful British pop singer from the late 1950s to the early 1960s.
He was the fourth biggest selling artist of the sixties after The Beatles, Cliff and Elvis and had more Decca hits than any other artist including the Rolling Stones.
Billy equalled 'The Beatles' record of 24 hits, he spent a total of 332 weeks on the UK charts and he was so popular a bronze statue of him was created and unveiled at the Liverpool Albert Dock in 2007 and more recently in 2011, 'Billy Fury Way' was opened in London.
Billy remained an active songwriter until the 1980s but Rheumatic fever, which damaged his heart, contributed to his death in 1983.
Michael King brings his music back to life in what has been described as "the definitive Billy Fury Show!"
