Sixth formers at Backwell School are rehearsing three times a week as preparations for Josef Weinberger's The Jungle Book step up a notch.
The annual show, this year being performed on three December dates will test the students as, uniquely, the direction, costumes, stage management and production have no staff input whatsoever.
Although a daunting prospect, everyone is rising to the challenge; Jodie Michicce and her co-director Olly Britton have worked tirelessly to co-ordinate a cast of more than 60 performers,
Musical director Dave Bossanyi is conducting an orchestra dedicated to learning well known classics such as The Bear Necessities and King Of The Swingers and art and textile students have been designing and making the costumes and set since August.
All members of the public are encouraged to watch this family-friendly, fun-filled production in time for the festive season.
