North Somerset Council is hosting an Olympic-inspired event for all ages and abilities on Saturday 21 July at Hans Price Sports Centre in Weston.
The Go4Life Community Festival will give everyone the opportunity to try up to 30 different sports and activities.
Local instructors and coaches will come together between 10am and 4pm to offer free taster sessions. Activities will include fencing, cricket, dance, golf, flexercise, massage, freerunning, hockey, netball, karate and lots more.
The day will kick off with a fantastic mass Zumba warm-up – an ideal way to get hearts pumping and ready for exercise. Taster sessions will then take place through the day, each lasting 45 minutes.
The festival aims to encourage new participants into sports and signpost those taking part towards regular sessions and clubs elsewhere. It is part of the national Community Games – a programme of events that has gained the Inspire mark for promoting a legacy for the London 2012 Olympics.
The event looks set to attract a bumper turnout from Weston and across North Somerset. Early booking is recommended.
