Spring? Well, the herons in the largest heronry in the old county of Avon think so! Birds are gradually coming back and 'bagging' their nests and beginning repairs to them. Robins and blackcaps are singing to attract mates in the Nursery, perhaps they have noticed the spring flowers arriving in the form of flowering [and deliciously scented] primroses and pots of spring flowering bulbs. Maybe they also noticed new roses, plug bedding plants and Cleeve's own stran of Hellebores coming in! Whether there will be as many herons nests occupied this year as last remains to be seen but the live TV camera is in place to watch one of the nests from the garden centre.
