Well, looking at the headline figures Nailsea school appears to have had a significant dip in achievement in 2011, particularly compared with Backwell. As a parent who will need to decide on one of these for next year (i attended Nailsea), i am seriously wondering about the implications of this - they are below the national average.
Then for Primary, the gap between, Kingshill and almost all the others is worrying and not 'great' is it?
Dont get me wrong i would not take headline statistics as my sole indicator but it has made me question the decisions i thought i would make.
Am wondering whether there has been any comment from any of the schools.

ReportOK, last year Nailsea School had a dip in its achievements at GCSE but its A-C 5 plus results and its A-level exam results were great. Go and see for yourself but remember you are choosing between two great comprehensives. I have grandchildren at both schools and all are happy and doing well, extremely well actually. Personally I favour the school nearest home which makes it easier for parents to keep track of where their children are and what they are up to in challenging teenage years. It is anticipated Nailsea School results this year will be back on top. Backwell now has 1,700+ pupils while Nailsea is 1,100+. Size does matter and sometimes big isn't best.

ReportTo add Nailsea School Ofsted report 'good' and 'outstanding' also acknowledges that the 2011 results are a blip year – all schools get them and 2010 was Backwell's turn.
