The popular Your North Somerset event returns to the Winter Gardens in Weston-super-Mare for its ninth year on Sunday 26th January.

The free event, from noon to 4pm, is hosted by North Somerset Council and partner organisations. It is open to everyone, bringing together local communities for a day of advice, entertainment and activities for all the family.

This year, as well as over 80 stands with information and advice about services in North Somerset, there will be a room dedicated to accessing services online.

The IT Lounge will be equipped with laptops, iPads and iPhones, and volunteers will be ready to help members of the public with their computer skills. Anyone can come along and learn how to set up an email address, pay bills, find out information about services and leisure activities and other basic skills.

Other attractions at the event include:

Food tasting with the Bangladeshi association, Brandon Trust, Weston College, Hans Price Academy, North Somerset Council’s Community Meals on Wheels service, the Multicultural Friendship Association, Oakhouse Foods, and Weston-super-Food.

Performances by piano players Max and Richard, The Big Worle Showbiz Choir, Indian dancers Disha’s Children, guitar player Joseph and Japanese opera singer Michiyo.

Interactive dance workshops including Polish and Irish dancing, bollywood dancing with Shredha, Fuego Flamenco, Chinese fan dancing, Filipino Bamboo dancing, Greek dancing and streetdancing with Mendip Green School.

Free children's activities from Barnados, Weston Children's Centre, and Actionworks and more plus

a range of vehicles outside, including buses and emergency vehicles in the town square.
