A women-only group of bighearted fundraisers from Nailsea and Backwell Rugby Club has organised a retail therapy fixture for later this month.

One of the more diverse ways the rugby club raised money - they are looking for volunteers for a 2014 version
On Thursday, February 28, at West End Park, they are inviting local businesses to take a stall at a Mother's Day shopping and pamper evening.
Nailsea & Backwell Raven Ladies was launched three years ago as a social networking group for partners and supporters at the rugby club.
The goal of this diverse group is to enjoy themselves while benefiting the community and the rugby club.
Tables for the retail therapy experience cost £10 plus a raffle prize donation.
Nailsea & Backwell Raven Ladies has raised thousands of pounds for good causes since its formation.
Its biggest charity bash is the Pink Ladies Day which is sponsored by The Old Farmhouse pub and raises money for breast cancer charities.

Nailsea and Backwell Rugby Club celebrated its 40th birthday with an anniversary dinner this month.
The club which began in Backwell in 1972 moved to its Nailsea base in 1996.
It runs three senior teams and a veterans XV.
It also fields a thriving juniors, minis and girls section.
Its main annual social events are the beer and cider festival and bonfire night and in the past it has produced an arty version of Calendar Girls.
