NAILSEA ARMY CADETS ENJOY SUMMER OF FUN IN SOUTH WALES

Somerset to enjoy a 2 week annual camp during the summer holidays. The location for this year's fun filled adventure
was Penally Camp, just outside Tenby in South Wales.
cadets enjoyed an action packed fortnight, taking part in a wide variety of
different activities. As well as their
military progressive training, involving target shooting, drill practice and field
training exercises, the cadets had a chance to try out numerous adventurous
two day package of canoeing, raft building, climbing, abseiling and team
building was held at a near bye reservoir.
The local coast was utilised for expeditions and also for the very
popular beach sports day. Sporting competitions took place throughout the two
weeks, including the increasingly popular tug of war.
enjoyed their day out to Oakwood theme park and also the camp talent show and
disco held in the large training theatre.
The ethos of 'work hard – play hard' was definitely evident. All of these activities, and more, cost the cadets
only £70 each which included all their food, accommodation and activities for
the entire fortnight.
Platoon are accepting new recruits now, so if you want to take part in a
similar camp next year go along and visit their brand new training facility in
Greenfield Crescent Park, Nailsea, BS48 1HR . They parade Tuesday and Thursday
evenings, from 7:30 to 9:30pm, and prospective cadets are always welcome to
