Jake's unbeaten 41 guides Knowle to cup victory over Winterbourne

KNOWLE overcame Winterbourne by seven wickets to be crowned South West Glass Under-17 Cup champions in last Sunday's final at Frampton Cotterell Cricket Club.
After Winterbourne made 105-3, player-of-the-match Jake Edmunds hit an unbeaten 41 to secure victory for Knowle.
It completed a good weekend for Edmunds, who had scored 164 for Knowle 3rd XI the previous day.
The achievement award went to Winterbourne's Mike Norman, who made 29 and conceded only 17 runs from his four overs.
There were three other finals contested at Frampton Cotterell last Sunday.
In the Don Brooks Under-17 Plate final, Brislington made 129-6 against Cam, who came up just short on 119-6. Brislington's Dave Fairless won the player-of-the-match award for his 49 not out with the bat and 2-7 with the ball. The achievement award went to Cam's Dan Whincup, who scored 60.
In the Urban Windows Under-15 Cup final, Chris van de Merwe made 55 retired out in Chipping Sodbury's 189-3 against Nailsea, who had an unbeaten 51 from Zac Rigby in a reply of 107-7.
Van de Merwe was named player-of-the-match and Rigby won the achievement award.
In the Frank Benner Under-13 Cup final, Shane Forder took 5-12 as Thornbury Red bowled Nailsea out for 32.
Thornbury went on to win by eight wickets and Forder won the player-of-the-match award. Nailsea's Ollie Cattermole won the achievement award.

It is Edmonds with an 'o'. Please amend as the family are very proud of his achievements and it would be great to be able to have this as a reminder of a great weekend.
